1. Information We Collect
EPUBMaker does not require user accounts and does not collect personal information for authentication. We may collect: (a) Usage data: file metadata (filename, size) processed during conversion — files are not stored server-side after conversion; (b) IP addresses for rate limiting and abuse prevention; (c) Error reports: anonymized diagnostic data sent to Sentry for debugging; (d) Analytics: aggregated, non-identifying site usage data via Vercel Analytics.
2. Local Browser Storage
EPUBMaker stores your recent conversion history and settings locally in your browser using localStorage and IndexedDB. This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to our servers. You can clear this data at any time by clearing your browser storage.
3. Files and Conversion
Files you upload for conversion are processed in memory on our servers and returned to you as EPUB downloads. We do not store, retain, or analyze your uploaded documents after conversion is complete.
4. Third-Party Services
We use: Sentry for error monitoring (anonymized data only); Vercel Analytics for aggregate traffic metrics; Google AdSense for advertising (Google's privacy policy applies to ad personalization). We do not sell or share your personal information with any third party.
5. Previous User Data
EPUBMaker previously operated as a subscription service with user accounts. All previously collected account data (email addresses, conversion history, subscription records) will be permanently deleted from our systems by 2026-08-01. If you had an account, no further action is required on your part.
